ERASMUS PLUS PROGRAMME

     What is the Erasmus+ Programme?

Erasmus+ is the EU Programme in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020. Education, training, youth and sport can make a major contribution to help tackle socio-economic changes, the key challenges that Europe will be facing until the end of the decade and to support the implementation of the European policy agenda for growth, jobs, equity and social inclusion.

     Types of activities:

     Student mobility for studies (SMS) and student mobility for placement (SMP):

     Study periods: from 3 to 12 months

     Traineeships: from 2 to 12 months

     The same student may participate in mobility periods totaling up to 12 months maximum per each cycle of study, independently of the number and type of mobility activities.

- during the first study cycle (Bachelor);

- during the second study cycle (Master);

- during the third cycle (doctoral level).

     The duration of a traineeship by recent graduates counts towards the 12 months maximum of the cycle during which they apply for the traineeship.

     Staff mobility for teaching (STA) and for training (STT):

     Teaching periods: this activity allows HEI (higher education institution) teaching staff to teach at a partner HEI abroad. Staff mobility for teaching can be in any subject area/academic discipline.

     Training periods: this activity supports the professional development of HEI teaching and non-teaching staff in the form of training events abroad (excluding conferences) and job shadowing/observation periods/training at a partner HEI, or at another relevant organization abroad.
